Krystina

Krystina Waler is your Conservative candidate for St. Catharines in the next federal election. She was born and raised in St. Catharines and currently lives in the Facer Street area.

Krystina’s career has been centered around helping people who need it most. She’s organized 7 medical missions overseas staffed with Canadian medical teams to treat persons injured from military conflicts. She has also served as the director of a surgical education & training partnership in association with Sunnybrook Health Sciences. Krystina is currently the interim executive director of a foundation that focuses on helping children who are orphaned abroad with mental health supports and learning skills and trades to prepare them for life as adults. She is proud to be running as the Conservative candidate for St. Catharines in the next federal election.

Krystina completed high school at Sir Winston Churchill and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at Wilfrid Laurier University. Krystina also earned a Master of Science in Health Technology Assessment and Management from the University of Toronto, with a focus on how to best use health care technology to improve the quality of life of people around the world.

She values public service because she was raised in a family whose careers have been dedicated to public service. Her mother is a long-time teacher and principal in local education, and her father continues to practice medicine as a local doctor. The Waler family has deep roots throughout the St. Catharines community.

Krystina’s grandparents were immigrants who came to Canada from Ireland and war-torn Ukraine to find a better life. Through learning of their life struggles, Krystina grew up with a strong sense of responsibility and the importance of giving back to her community and country. She treasures the values, freedoms, and opportunities that Canada provides.

Krystina’s goal is to be a strong local voice for St. Catharines in Ottawa, and she will be an effective federal representative that you can be proud to have representing you.
